esterday, 8 young ladies with an interest in a technical profession were again guests at AEMtec. AEMtec participates annually in Girls' Day - an opportunity for the girls to get an idea of a technical profession.
What are the tasks of a microtechnologist? What career opportunities are there in this field?
The girls worked in the company with enthusiasm and skill, they stacked resistors with tweezers and they dispensed Glop Top Masse manually.

Using the digital microscope, they were able to measure the thickness of a respective hair and were amazed to find that the gold wire for bonding is much thinner than a single hair of their own. WOW.
HELLO!? ….. …… What does dispensing actually mean? What does bonding with a gold wire mean?
These and other questions were answered yesterday and tested immediately.
The highlight of the day was the independent work on the soldering set. Each girl was able to solder a heart-shaped kit – according to the motto "our heart shines for microsystems technology", followed by the awarding of a soldering certificate.
And of course there was a tasty pizza 😊 at AEMtec at the end of the day.

We at AEMtec promote women in technical professions and offer training as microtechnologists. Who knows, maybe we will see one or the other young enthusiastic lady from the "Girls Day" measure again for an apprenticeship. We would be happy!
